Speech Therapy
Our speech therapy sessions are focused on AAC and functional communication. We will provide therapy at your home, in the community, or virtually - whatever works best for you and your child!

Meet Your Speech Therapist
Laura Morris, M.S., CCC-SLP, TSSLD
Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist
Laura has been a speech-language pathologist for over 12 years, 6 of which were spent working as an AAC specialist at one of the best children’s hospitals in the country - and now she is excited to bring this experience to the Hudson Valley!
Laura firmly believes that change only happens when we work together. She is committed to collaborating with her clients, their families, their educational & medical teams, and their communities to foster true growth. She is a champion of her clients’ strengths and differences, and she prioritizes using interventions that are rooted in research. She values building meaningful relationships with her clients and families; she recognizes that her role as a member of their team is an absolute privilege.
To her work as a speech-language pathologist, Laura also brings her own experiences from motherhood. Being a mom has enhanced the way Laura thinks about AAC assessment and treatment, and it has allowed Laura to connect with her clients and families on a whole new level.

Step ONE
Schedule a free 15-minute consultation with us! We will ask questions to learn about you, your child, your goals, and your areas of concern, as well as share more about our services. Next steps will be discussed.
Step TWO
We will complete an in-person AAC evaluation at your home. We will discuss results & recommendations and map out a plan together for how to move forward.
Step THREE
Speech therapy and/or coaching sessions begin! Based on the results of the evaluation and your goals, a custom treatment plan will be designed for you and your child.
Insurance & Billing
At this time, Beacon Speech Therapy is a private pay only practice. We are happy to provide superbills that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. We also accept HSA/FSA cards in addition to debit and credit payments.
